Podcasts! For Your Horror Needs

I listen to a lot of horror and true crime podcasts that offer a diverse range of topics, from real life hauntings and serial killers, to weird fictional corners of our world and ghost stories. Because it's easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of podcasts out there, and because some of them are available on one service but not another, I thought I'd put together a list of podcasts you might like to try - along with links to their websites.

Lore - This award-winning podcast by Aaron Mahnke explores true-life scary stories and folklore.

Uncanny - BBC sounds. From ghostly phantoms to UFOs, The Battersea Poltergeist's Danny Robins investigates real-life stories of paranormal encounters.

The NoSleep Podcast - A podcast featuring narrations of horror stories from the Reddit forum r/nosleep, with a focus on psychological horror.

Welcome to Night Vale - A fictional podcast presented as a radio show for the fictional town of Night Vale, where strange and supernatural events occur.

The Black Tapes - A serialised docudrama podcast that follows a journalist's investigation into paranormal activities and the mysterious Black Tapes.

The Magnus Archives - An episodic horror fiction podcast that explores supernatural entities through archived statements of encounters with the unknown.

The Dark Verse - A podcast featuring original horror fiction stories written and narrated by M. Amanuensis Sharkchild.

Darkest Night - A serialised audio drama podcast that combines horror and science fiction, exploring disturbing experiments conducted on human subjects.

The Wicked Library - A podcast featuring a collection of original horror stories narrated by Daniel Foytik, accompanied by eerie background music.

Unexplained - Hosted by Richard MacLean Smith, this podcast explores strange and unexplained phenomena, including mysteries, disappearances, and paranormal events.
